Make sure the contact is correctly aligned (Fig P): If it is not, it will not deactivate the safety
system and the appliance will not start.
The installation is now completed. You may use the appliance in conformity with the
instructions for use.
8 BEFORE USING THE TOOL FOR THE FIRST TIME
8.1 Thermal protector (Fig A)
 This machine is equipped with a thermal protector that cuts power in the event of
overload. If this occurs, wait several minutes and press the reset button.
 Press the thermal protector to reset.
 Then press the green "I" switch.
8.2 Dust collection
Attention !
This appliance is delivered with chip extractors. These extractors have slots that
deactivate the cutting safety system. If the extractor (varies depending on whether you
are using it in planing mode or jointing mode) is not in place or is incorrectly placed it
will be impossible to use the appliance.
For a better dust extraction of the working surface, your machine can be connected to a
vacuum cleaner.
Attention: Dust particles can cause respiratory problems. For your protection, it is
recommended that a standard anti-dust mask be used.
9 OPERATION
Before the first start-up all covers and safety devices must e correctly
installed.
9.1 Switching on.
Connect the machine to a 230V power source.
To start the machine after settings and checks, use the on/off power switch.
Lift the yellow safety cover.
To start the machine, press the green "I" button; to stop the machine, press the red "O" button.
You can use the 'emergency off switch' to switch off the appliance.
!! Re-close the lid correctly to enable an emergency stop using the manual push button".
Run the machine while empty for 30 seconds in a steady position to check that it is running
well.
Stop the machine immediately if there is a significant vibration or if other faults are noticed.
If this happens, check the machine to determine the origin of the problem.
When you use the appliance in jointer mode :
 ALWAYS use the 2 pushers to handle the workpiece safely (Fig Q).
When you use the appliance in planer mode :
Place your piece on the extension of the table.
This machine is equipped with in feed rollers: the piece of wood will be automatically fed.
To ensure smooth sliding, the in feed tables must be regularly lubricated.
Avoid using wet wood.
Regularly remove and clean away wood chips using caution.
Avoid using pieces that are too small.
