7 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Attention !Before performing any work on the equipment, pull the power
plug.
7.1 Cleaning
Keep the ventilation slots of the machine clean to prevent overheating of the engine.
Regularly clean the machine housing with a soft cloth, preferably after each use.
Keep the ventilation slots free from dust and dirt.
If the dirt does not come off use a soft cloth moistened with soapy water.
Never use solvents such as petrol, alcohol, ammonia water, etc. These
solvents may damage the plastic parts.
8 MAINTENANCE
Carbon brushes.
Your POWX119 is equipped with
an electronic ‘worn carbon brush’
warning system. When the
carbon brushes need to be
replaced, the indicator (12) lights
red. (green=OK)
Replacing the carbon brushes:
1.
Remove all screws holding the left & right rear motor covers.
2. Disconnect the carbon wires from the motor contacts. (right carbon has 1 wire only, left
carbon has 2 wires (1 for motor contact and 1 for ‘worn carbon warning system’)
3. Open de spring that pushes the carbon to the anchor.
4. Replace both carbon brushes.
5. Re-place spring
6. Connect wires to motor contacts / ‘worn carbon warning’ system’
7. Close motor covers again, tighten screws securely.
