A dust mask approved for masonry dust must be worn.
WARNING: Diamond cutting discs become very hot during operation. Allow
the diamond cutting discs to cool down completely before removing or
changing discs.
The machine should be disconnected from the mains immediately, should the mains cable
be damaged or cut through while working, never operate the machine with a damaged
cable. Damaged mains cables may only be replaced with genuine replacement parts
available from the manufacturer.
Never allow children to use the machine.
7 ASSEMBLY
ATTENTION! Disconnect the power plug before carrying out any
adjustments or maintenance.
7.1
Fitting/changing the diamond cutting discs (Fig. 1 and Fig. 2)
Use only diamond cutting discs suitable for dry cutting, which are approved for use with the
material you wish to cut. Cutting discs must have a maximum permitted speed at least equal
to the machine’s maximum no-load speed.
Place the machine on a stable workbench with the diamond discs over the edge of the
table.
Set the cutting depth to the lowest position (maximum cutting depth) by using the lock
lever for depth stop (9) (Refer to
“Depth adjustment” section).
Bring the protective guard down, this makes it easier to operate.
Push the spindle lock button (2) towards the motor housing as the arrow shows in Fig. 1
(A) and firmly hold it.
Loosen the flange nut with spindle sleeve (16) using the pin spanner (17), remove the
diamond cutting disc s(12) and the spacer rings (15). Then clean the motor flange (14),
the spacer rings and the flange nut with spindle sleeve.
Place a new diamond cutting disc onto the motor flange (14), followed by any remaining
space rings (15). (Refer to Fig. 2)
Slide the remaining diamond cutting disc on the spindle, screw the flange nut onto the
spindle.
Press the spindle lock button (2) and tighten the flange nut using the pin spanner.
CAUTION! Always replace diamond cutting discs in pairs.
7.2
Depth adjustment (Fig. 3)
WARNING: Disconnect the machine from the mains before any assembly
and adjustment.
Loosen the lock lever for depth stop (9) and set the required depth along the cutting depth
scale (10). Select a chase depth approximately 3mm deeper than the actual required
depth to compensate for unevenness in the wall surface.
Re-tighten the lock lever (9).
