Air cleaner service

A dirty air cleaner will restrict air flow to the carburettor. To prevent carburettor malfunction,
service the air cleaner regularly. Service more frequently when operating the generator in
extremely dirty areas.

Do not use gasoline or low flash point solvents for cleaning. They are
flammable and explosive under certain conditions.

§ Loosen the cover screw and remove the maintenance cover.
§ Remove the screw under the air filter box.
§ Pull the air filter cover down 30mm and remove the air filter cover.
§ Remove the air filter iron clip and check the air filter element. Clean or replace the element

if necessary.
