Safety instructions
for batteries
RISK OF EXPLOSION! Never re-
charge, short-circuit and / or open
non-rechargeable batteries. Overheat-
ing, fire or destruction of the batteries might re-
sult. Never throw batteries into fire or water. The
batteries might explode.
RISK OF EXPLOSION! The batter-
ies may explode if they have been im-
properly replaced. Replace exhausted
batteries with 2 new batteries of the same type
(1.5 V AA).
Switch the device to the “OFF”
position before inserting the batteries.
Use only the recommended battery type.
Insert the batteries correctly, observing the correct
polarity (+ and –).
Check the batteries regularly for to see if they
are leaking.
If the above instructions are not complied with,
the batteries may discharge themselves beyond
their end voltage. There is then a danger of leak-
ing. If the batteries in your device leak, remove
them immediately to prevent the device from be-
ing damaged!
