6. Close the gear cover (8). Fasten the
locking bolt (11) on the gear cover (8).
Tensioning the V-belt
1. Release the locking bolt on the gear
cover (8).
2. Open the gear cover (8).
3. Release the retaining bolt (13) on the
motor unit (14).
4. Slide the motor unit (14) back to tensi-
on the V-belt (26).
5. The V-belt (26) is correctly tensioned
when it gives way slightly when
pressed.
6. Tighten the retaining bolt (13) on the
motor unit (14) again.
7. Close the gear cover (8). Fasten the
locking bolt (11) on the gear cover (8).
Adjusting the Drilling Bench
1. Release the clamping bolt (24).
2. Push the drilling bench (20) to the desi-
red height.
3. Pivot the drilling bench (20) to the desi-
red position.
4. Fasten the drilling bench (20) again
with the clamping bolt (24).
5. You can also adjust the tilt angle of the
drilling bench (20). To do this, release
the clamping bolt (19) under the drilling
bench. Tilt the drilling bench (20) as
desired to the right or left up to a max.
of 45° and secure the drilling bench
(20) again with the clamping bolt (19).
Preselecting the Drilling Depth
1. Move the red arrow to the „0“ position
on the drilling depth scale (3).
2. Turn one of the drill lifting arms (9) an-
ticlockwise and move the spindle (6) to
the desired drilling depth.
3. Turn the fixing nut to the desired point
on the depth scale. Read off the red ar-
row on the drilling depth scale to help
you.
4. Move the spindle (6) slowly back to the
stop position.
5. Adjust the drilling bench (20) until the
workpiece is resting against the drill tip.
Changing the Bit
Remove the plug from the mains
socket before changing the bit. This
will prevent an accidental start-up.
1. Fold the safety device (7) up.
2. Release the retaining jaws of the drill
chuck (4) with the drill chuck key (29).
3. Remove the bit.
4. Insert a new bit.
5. Tighten the retaining jaws of the drill
chuck (4) with the drill chuck key (29).
6. Check that the bit is centred.
7. Fold the safety device (7) down again.
Under no circumstances must you
leave the drill chuck key (29) inser-
ted.
Drilling
1. Turn the appliance on.
2. Turn one of the drill lifting arms (9) an-
ticlockwise
3. The drill chuck (4) is lowered.
4. Drill into the workpiece at the appropri-
ate feed rate and to the desired depth.
5. Be aware of any necessary chip brea-
king on the way to the desired depth.
6. Move the bit slowly back to the stop
position.
