Accessing the GPS Data

Appendix C

Embedded and Industrial Computing

To access the GPS data, follow the following steps:
Make sure you already installed the Lanner GPIO driver on

your LVC-5550S as instructed in Appendix B and verify the

serial ports have been detected.

Select Programs from the Start menu on your windows

and open the Hyper Terminal program.

Choose COM4 from the Connection using drop-down

menu:

Specify the following communication parameters:
Bits per Second: 9600
Data Bits: 8
Parity: None
Stop Bit: 1
Flow Control: None
