Gearbox Fluid Change
WARNING!
AVOID INJURY OR DEATH
Wear safety glasses to prevent eye injury when any of the following
conditions exist:
• When fluids are under pressure
.
• Flying debris or loose material is present .
• Engine is running.
• Tools are being used.
Tip: Fluid such as engine oil, hydraulic fluid, coolants, grease, etc. must
be disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. Some regula-
tions require that certain spills and leaks on the ground must be
cleaned in a specific manner. See local, state and federal regula-
tions for the correct disposal.
Check for the proper oil level in the gearbox.
Tip: The correct fluid level is approximately half the depth of the gear-
box or to the shaft center lines.
Remove fill plug (Item 1). The oil should flow from the fill port.
If the oil does not flow out of the fill port, add oil (Polaris Premium Angle Drive Fluid) until it begins to flow out of the fill
port. Reinstall and tighten fill plug.
