Deflation Via Flat Valve
Your BC comes equipped with flat valves on the right shoulder and lower rear right and left sides of the
BC. Their primary function is to relieve excess air pressure inside the bladder. A knob and cord assembly
can manually open the flat valve by pulling on the knob to quickly dump air.
To dump air as quickly as possible, always use the flat valve at the highest point in the water column. For
example, the lower rear valve work best while making a headfirst descent, or swimming in a facedown
position; the right shoulder valve works best when in an upright position.
