3. Trim the anchor.
For your Custom élan you
only need a small piece of the
anchor. Trim the anchor with
a pair of sharp scissors, cut-
ting nippers or other suitable
tool so that there is only ap-
proximately 2 mm left. The remaining 2 mm of the an-
chor helps to keep the élan ear-set firmly secured in the
ear-piece.
After having performed the three above-mentioned
steps, verify that the following alterations have been
made:
1. The first retention grip has
been completely
removed, leaving only the
second retention grip.
2. The lock has been
completely removed and
the surface feels smooth.
3. There is approximately 2
mm remaining of the
anchor.
