Configuring 3ds Max and the maxReality Plug-in
1. Using the 3ds Max “Configure User Paths…” command from the “Customize”
menu, add the following external files:
C:\maxReality\Tutorials
C:\maxReality\VWD Content
2. To add maxReality to your Utility Sets, press the “Utilities” button (hammer
icon).
3. Press the “Configure Button Sets” button in the Utilities panel.
4. Add a button by adjusting the “Total Buttons:” value.
5. Locate “maxReality” in the Utilities list and drag it onto the new blank button,
then press “OK”
The maxReality plug-in is ready to use.
Running the maxReality Viewer
maxReality Viewer can be installed on supported Windows computer system with or
without Autodesk 3ds Max being installed. It is installed through the
“maxReality_setup.exe” installer program.
The maxReality Viewer can be launched through the “Launch” button in the
maxReality plug-in or as a standard Windows application.
