Playback
The following apply when the DV-RA1000HD is used
to play back CD, CD-R or CD-RW discs. Many of these
features also apply to playback of DVD and HD record-
ed on the DV-RA1000HD.
Basically, the DV-RA1000HD works in the normal way
as a CD player and in a very similar way to many CD
recorder.
However, there are a number of features that may not be
immediately obvious.
Functions marked with a

HD
indicator in this
chapter are available for DVD or HD playback respec-
tively. Functions marked with a
DVD±RW

HD

available for DVD±RW or HD recording respectively.
DVD
refers to both DVD±RW and DVD±R, and
HD
refers to the HD of DV-RA1000HD.
Certain functions are not available in DSD mode, and
this is noted in the corresponding sections.
