TROUBLESHOOTING
1. NO AMPERAGE OR VOLTAGE CONTROL
• Check switches and controls on power source for proper position.
Remote Contactor Switch --- Standard position (contactor on)
Remote Current or Voltage Switch --- Remote position
• Check plug on hand control to see if it is connected properly to receptacle on power source.
• Check control, cord and plug for broken wires or parts.

• Check weld output on welding power source or generator. (see power source owners manual)

a defect for a time period as listed below for the particular product line,
from date of sale to the original user.

INSTALLATION
WARNING!
Electric Shock can kill.
• Do not touch live electrical parts.
• Double check installation instructions before making electrical connections.
• Shut off electrical power or engine.
• Keep all panels securely in place.
CAUTION! Incorrect installation can damage unit.
1. Turn off engine and/or disconnect all electrical power before performing this installation.
2. HARDWARE: (LHC only)
• Disconnect the WIPER and RESISTOR wires from the M5090C rheostat in the welding machine.
• Connect the WIPER wire to the BLACK wire from the LHC remote and insulate the connection.
• Connect the RESISTOR wire to the WHITE wire from the LHC remote and insulate the connection.
• Connect the GREEN wire from the LHC remote to frame ground.
3. TWISTLOCK PLUG: (LHC only - must have field remote facilities installed.)
• Make connection by aligning plug to mating receptacle on power source, inserting plug into the receptacle and turning clockwise
as far as it will go.
4. TERMINAL STRIP: (LHC-775)
• Make connection by attaching the appropriate numbered wire to it’s mating terminal on the power source.
5. AMPHENOL PLUG: (LHC-857)
• Make connection by aligning keyway to mating receptacle on power source, inserting plug and tighten by threading collar
clockwise onto receptacle.
6. If the power source has a Contactor Switch - place it into the STANDARD or PANEL position.
7. If the power source has a Current or Voltage control switch - place it in the REMOTE position.
MAINTENANCE
1. Turn off engine and/or disconnect all electrical power before performing maintenance.
2. EVERYDAY:
• Turn control fully from 0 to 100 taking care not to force the control past it's stopping points.
3. EVERY 3 MONTHS:
• Inspect repair and/or replace any cracked parts or frayed cords.
• Replace any unreadable labels.
