-SETUP-
NOTE: The Low PRO will run slower when it is connected to a PRO-3Tm if the Low PRO’s
power is not turned on.
-Typical Operation-
Place a PRO-3Tm on top of the Low PRO in the recessed slots. Connect the five-pin “DIN”
cable (supplied) from the rear of the PRO-3Tm to the connector on the rear panel of the Los PRO.
Connect the PRO-3T power cable to the power outlet on the Los PRO’s panel. (The PRO-3Tm is
then turned on by the Low PRO’s power switch.) Plug the Low PRO into a 117 VAC 50/60 Hz
10 amp power source.
The Low PRO’s fuse (5 amp, slow-blo) and power switch supplies both the PRO-3Tm and Low
PRO and is provided for convenience. DO NOT plug other devices into this outlet.
-Volume Control-
This is used to set the balance between the PRO-3Tm (>800 Hz) and the Low PRO (<800 Hz).
Once the volume balance is set, the overall volume is controlled by the PRO-3Tm. Proper
balance is a matter of personal choice and will vary depending on the room and placement of
your system. Typical setting is “8”.
-
Bass Control-
This provides additional boost below 100Hz for applications where pedals are played and to boost
the low end on those keyboards that do not increase bass output as is found on some tone-wheel
organs. Typical setting is “0”.
TIP: Placing the Low PRO on the floor ads more bass.
If you play with a bass player, it is recommended that the Low PRO base control be set
somewhere between ????? (john needs to correct)
Noise, Hum and Ground Loops
The Low PRO design eliminates all possible internal ground loops and 50/60 Hz related noise;
however, when two or more devices are connected together and each is grounded (such as a
keyboard, a PRO-3Tm, a Low PRO and an amplifier), ground loops and resulting “hum” can be
created.
