Other settings
Remote control settings
• When you connect a remote control receiver unit (purchased
separately) to the REMOTE CONTROL IN terminal of this unit, use
the following procedure to disable the remote sensor function of
this unit.
• The remote sensor function of remote control signals is enabled by
default.
o p ZONE2 ON/OFF RETURN ENTER
n Disabling the sensor function of the remote control
1 To enable the remote signal sensor function, press
and hold ZONE2 ON/OFF and RETURN for 3 seconds.
“IR:< ENABLE >” is displayed.

Press o p to select “DISABLE”.

Press ENTER .
The sensor function of the remote control signal of this unit is
disabled.
NOTE
If a remote control receiver unit (purchased separately) is not
connected, do not perform this setting. If you do, you will not be
able to operate this unit using the remote control.
n Enabling the remote sensor function
1 To disable the remote signal sensor function, press
and hold ZONE2 ON/OFF and RETURN for 3 seconds.
“IR:< DISABLE >” is displayed.

The sensor function of the remote control signal of this unit is
enabled.
Switching between PAL and NTSC
signal formats
Select the video signal format (PAL or NTSC) used to view the
on-screen display menu system.
• The factory setting is “PAL”.

n Setting the video signal format to NTSC.
1 When the video signal setting is “PAL”, press and
hold RETURN and PURE DIRECT for 3 seconds.
“Format :< PAL >” is shown in the display.
2 Press o p to select “NTSC”.

1 When the video signal setting is “NTSC”, press and
hold RETURN and PURE DIRECT for 3 seconds.
“Format :< NTSC >” is shown in the display.

Switching the on-screen display
output mode
Set whether the menu is operated by the monitor connected to the
VIDEO OUT terminal or the monitor connected to the COMPONENT
VIDEO MONITOR OUT terminal.
• The factory setting is “Comp”.

1 Press and hold RETURN and PURE DIRECT for 3
seconds.
Corresponding to the video signal format settings,
“Format: ” or “Format: ” is shown in the
display.

Press u i to change the settings according to the
connection method.
“Comp” or “Video” is shown in the display.

Press o p to select “Comp” or “Video”.
Comp Set when the COMPONENT VIDEO MONITOR OUT
connector is connected to a TV.
Video Set when the VIDEO OUT connector is connected
to a TV.

Press ENTER to enter the setting.
NOTE
When operating the on-screen display menu using the monitor
connected to the HDMI OUT terminal, either setting may be used
without problem.
