6. Slide the upper shoulder belt into the
shoulder belt guide on the booster car seat’s
headrest on the side opposite vehicle buckle
(Fig. 22).
7. The shoulder belt is properly positioned
when it is not jammed against the front of the
shoulder belt guide hook (Fig. 23).
8. Pull the shoulder belt towards the vehicle
seatbelt retractor removing all slack from both
lap and shoulder belts (Fig. 24).
Check that child is properly restrained:
- Lap and shoulder belt must not be twisted and should be snugly adjusted
across the child.
- Lap belt must be snugly adjusted and low on hips, contacting upper thighs.
