3. CONTROL PANEL OPERATIONS
Welding method selection (S1): MIG / MMA (MIG two-sequence procedure or four-sequence
procedure is determined according to mode selection of the Promig 501, 501L and 530.
Control mode selection: (S2) local control / remote control, (S3) remote control unit / gun
control unit
Local controls: wire feed speed/MMA current (R1), welding voltage (R2)
Warning light for thermal shield (H11)
3.1. WELDING METHOD SELECTING SWITCH

Local control: Control potentiometers R1 and R2 on panel are used.
Remote control: Adjustments are carried out from remote control unit
R20 which is connected to remote control connector X4 of subfeeder.
If you use the remote control unit R10, adjust wire feed speed or MMA welding
current with potentiometer of the R10 and voltage with potentiometer U on panel.
Gun control: Wire feed speed is adjusted with control module RMT which is
connected to Kemppi PMT welding gun and welding voltage is adjusted with
potentiometer U on panel.
