2-1 Install the Memory
If you take a look at front side of memory module, it has asymmetric pin counts on �oth sides
separated by a notch in the middle, so it can only fit in one direction. Follow the steps below to
correctly install your memory modules into the sockets.
Read the following guidelines �efore you �egin to install the memory :
■
Make sure that the motherboard supports the memory. It is recommended that memory
of the same capacity, �rand, speed, and chips �e used.
■ Always turn off the computer and unplug the power cord from the power outlet before
installing the memory to prevent hardware damage.
■ Memory modules have a foolproof design. A memory module can be installed in only
one direction. If you are una�le to insert the memory, switch the direction.
■ Be sure to install ��R3 �IMMs on this mother�oard.
