S ETUP : This submenu offers
various alternatives for setting up
your Movie Master. It allows you
to control the sound, contrast,
scroll speed, and to turn the
compressed text option on or off.
Your Movie
Screen!
Remember, next time you need
to find specific information about
a film, grab your TV Guide
®
Movie Master! Your film screen
includes the film’s title, star
rating, year of release, film
duration in minutes, whether it
was filmed in color or in black
and white, the MPAA rating, the
genre it falls under, cast
information, director’s name,
any Academy Awards
®
(if applicable), and the film’s
synopsis (if available). Now
you’re able to settle most any
movie debate!
Remember, you can press the
SAVE button any time you’re on a
movie screen when you want to
store information on a particular
title in Movie Master’s memory.
This way you can have instant
access to any saved information
from the
HOME Menu.
To Turn off
the Device
In case you would like to take
a break from TV Guide ® Movie
Master, press the ON / OFF button
and the device will shut off.
Please keep in mind that if no
buttons are pushed for four min-
utes, TV Guide
® Movie Master
will automatically shut itself off
to save your batteries. When you
are ready to continue, simply
press
ON / OFF once again and
Movie Master will return right to
where you left off your game.

BEST DIRECTOR
A CTOR (A CTRESS ): This
menu contains a list of all the
actors and actresses contained in
TV Guide’s
® Movie Master’s
database, displayed in alphabeti-
cal order by last name. Once you
make a selection and choose to
VIEW ALL , the LCD will list that
actor/actress’ filmography.
D IRECTOR : Similarly, this
menu displays a list of all avail-
able directors. Correspondingly,
once you have selected a name
and selected to
VIEW ALL , the LCD
will display an alphabetical list
of that director’s filmography.
Please note that you have the
ability to continue to narrow
down your search once you are
in a particular submenu. For
instance, let’s say that you would
like to host a Horror Film Fest in
your own living room. You can
start by conducting a search by
TYPE of film. Instead of continu-
ing to VIEW ALL to see all the
entries in that genre, you can opt
for finding films made by your
favorite director. To do so,
simply scroll to the DIRECTOR
category within the TYPE
submenu and press ENTER to
confirm. Then scroll down to the
director’s name and press
ENTER .
If any of the films by said
director fall within the Horror
genre, the
LCD will display all
that apply in alphabetical order.
Otherwise you will hear “
S ORRY ”
and the LCD will display “ S ORRY
N O M OVIE F OUND .” Likewise
you can choose to conduct any
number of combinations of
searches, according to how
customized you’d like for your
movie night to be.
M OVIES WITH S YNOPSES :
From the HOME Menu you can
quickly access the list of films
that contain synopses. Simply
scroll down to that option using
the
button and press
ENTER . The LCD will show an
alphabetical list of films with
synopses available. You can
move through the list using the
or the ABC buttons to find
your selection and then press
ENTER to confirm.

to continue where you left off.
