JokeMaster II’s LCD is easy to read,

no matter how much light you have. If

you find yourself in the dark, or

somewhere where the light level is

low, simply push the

LIGHT

button to

turn on the LCD’s backlight. Push it a

second time to turn the light off.

ESPONSE

JokeMaster II lets you respond to its

jokes by pressing one of three laugh

buttons. You can even respond to your

friends’ jokes. It’s up to you to choose

the appropriate response! Actually,

you may press a laugh button at any-

time you feel like a little laughter.

JokeMaster II turns itself off if it is

left sitting idle for 3 minutes. This

feature is intended to help save your

batteries. Simply press the

ON/SELECT

key to wake

JokeMaster II up and return the LCD

to its former display. JokeMaster II

will never wake up grumpy ... it’s

always ready with another good joke!

JokeMaster II may lock up due to static discharge

or other electrical disturbances.

If this should happen, use a slim, pointed object to press

the button marked “

RESET

” on the front of the unit.

• Avoid rough handling such as bumping or dropping.
• Avoid moisture and extreme temperatures. For best results, use

between the temperatures of 39ºF and 100ºF (4º C and 38º C).

• Clean using only a slightly damp cloth. Do not use cleaners with

chemical agents.

Special Care & Handling

• Batteries should be installed only by an adult.
• Your JokeMaster II uses 2 AAA batteries, not included.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-

cadmium) batteries.

• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not use rechargeable batteries.
• Remove exhausted batteries from the unit.
• Do not short circuit battery terminals.
• Remove batteries and store them in a cool, dry place when not in use.
• To avoid explosion or leakage, do not dispose of batteries in a fire or

attempt to recharge alkaline or other non-rechargeable batteries.
