Bidding

bidding will continue until there

have been three consecutive pass-

es. Bidding is then over and the

playing phase of the game begins.

Note: If a bid is doubled, an “X”

is displayed as that player’s bid. If

a bid is redoubled, “XX” is dis-

played as that player’s bid. After

the bidding is over, the “X” or

“XX” will be displayed next to the

declarer’s bid to indicate that the

bid has been doubled or redoubled.

Playing

1. When the South frame flashes, it’s

your turn to lead a card. If

North

is declarer or

dummy, you will

play both the North and South

hands, and the 13 cards of the

dummy hand will be displayed at

the top of the screen. You may

select a card by using the S

UIT

and C

ARD

V

ALUES

buttons or by

using the C

URSOR

(see

Bidding,

number 5 above).

Note: At any time during the play,

you may press the C

will be displayed behind North. If

To select the Game Level

You may select one of three different

levels: Beginner, Normal and

Advance. The computer is preset at

the Beginner level. If you would like

to change to another level, press

Your Deluxe LCD Bridge pits you

against the computer. Excalibur

research labs have brought you the

latest in bridge technology. You can

either make your own choices in bid-

ding and playing the hand, or you can

get hints from the computer on what

it thinks you should do.
Deluxe LCD Bridge allows you to

choose from three different levels of

difficulty to improve your play. The

hands have been carefully researched

to provide you with instructional and

entertaining hands to play. Contract

bridge scoring is used to keep track

of the number of points you have

accumulated while playing.
