The Hierarchical Selector

The hierarchical selector is used to simplify navigating through the accumulated events
in the log. When presented with the layers appropriate to the selected data view, the
user is able to quickly and simply identify the relevant subset of data to load into the
data sheet.

A Plus symbol next to an
element in the hierarchical
selector indicates that sub
elements exist underneath
the marked element that
are not currently displayed.

A Minus symbol next to an
element in the hierarchical
selector indicates that all of
the sub elements in the
layer beneath the marked
element are currently
displayed.

An element in the
hierarchical selector with
no symbol next to it has no
sub elements.
