STEREO:
The 2-channel area of the HD layer is played.
MULTI (Upon purchase):
The multi-channel area of the HD layer is played.
Setting the top priority playback layer for Super
Audio CDs
Use this procedure to set the layer to be played when the disc is
loaded.
CD:
The CD layer is played.
Press
SUPER AUDIO CD SETUP
and select the layer.
• When playing discs that do not contain the selected area or layer,
the disc is played with the following order of priority: MULTI,
STEREO, CD
About Video and Music CDs
Playing discs with playback control
On most video CDs with playback control, a menu screen is displayed.
Select the item you want to see then start playback.
Use
[NUMBER]
(
0 ~ 9, +10
) to select the item you want to
see.
• Playback starts.
Example:
¢ To return to the menu screen.
Press [RETURN] during playback.
About discs containing MP3 and WMA format
files
¢ Listening to CDs and CD-R/CD-RW discs
containing MP3 files
There are many music distribution sites on the Internet allowing
you to download music files in MP3 or WMA format. When music
files are downloaded from such sites following the instructions
provided at the site then burned onto a CD-R/CD-RW disc, they
can be played on the DVD-2930CI.

The DVD-2930CI can play music files stored on CD-R/CD-RW discs
in MP3 or WMA (Windows Media
®
Audio) format.

Load the disc onto which the music files in MP3 or
WMA format have been burned.

Tracks:
Video and music CDs are divided into several sections (tracks).
These sections are all allotted numbers, called the track numbers.

Playback Control (Video CDs):
With video CDs for which “playback control” or the like is
indicated on the disc or jacket, the desired scene or information
can be selected from menu screens displayed on the TV.
