SCOPE OF THIS INSTRUCTION
MASS-VIEW
®
instruments are accurate instruments for measuring and controlling the mass flow rate of gases.
These smart instruments offer multiple process values as input- or output parameters. Many parameters can be
changed on the instrument through the menu, other parameters can only be changed using our digital interfaces.
This instruction covers the quick installation for MASS-VIEW
®
instruments regarding: Start-up, Mounting,
Zeroing and Operating in just 10 steps. More detailed information can be found in documents listed below.
MASS-VIEW
®
instruments have modular instruction manuals consisting of:

CAUTION: Check MASS-VIEW
®
properties
Before installing your instrument it is important to read
the label on the back of the instrument and check:
- Model number
- Pressure
- Temperature
- Power supply signal
- Flow direction
CAUTION: Check test pressure
Check the label on the back of the instrument and make
sure the test pressure is in accordance with
normal safety factors for your application.
CAUTION: Check if system piping is clean
For reliable measurement always make sure the fluid
stream is clean. Use filters to assure a moisture and
oil-free gas stream. Make sure filter surface is large
enough to avoid too high pressure drop. Install the
MASS-VIEW
®
according to the flow arrow on the
label at the back of the instrument.

CAUTION: Install instrument properly
Install the MASS-VIEW
®
instrument in the line and
tighten the fittings according to the instructions of
the supplier of the fittings.
CAUTION: Leak check
Check the system for leaks before applying (fluid)
pressure.
CAUTION: Electrical connections
Must be made with a standard cable or according
to the MASS-VIEW
®
hook-up diagram. (document
nr. 9.16.085)
SETUP screen
When the MASS-VIEW
®
is powered up for the first
time a setup menu appears where the pre-installed
gas can be selected, which flow range is to be used
and which communication type.
Warm-up time
Let the MASS-VIEW
®
warm-up for 30 minutes for
best accuracy.
Password
After entering the default password (which is ‘abc’) in
the security menu, all menus can be enabled or disa-
bled. Also a new password can be entered and saved.
Zeroing
Perform zero action if needed. See instructions at
