2.0 SETUP
The BCI 1500E Series units are used in pairs. In a unidirectional
application, one 1500E transmitter unit is located at the near-end and
connected through one optical fiber to a 1500E receiver located at the
far-end of the link. For bi-directional applications, one 1500E transceiver
unit is located at the near-end and connected through two optical fibers
to an identical 1500E transceiver located at the far-end of the link. Each
unit provides a separate electrical interface connector for each signal
format. Connections are one to one between both units. Figure 2-1
depicts a typical installation.
