2.3.4 Serial Digital Video (SDV) Interface (for
1500E S only)
The Serial Digital Video (SDV) signals are sent over a
75-ohm coax cable terminated in a BNC connector (e.g.,
RG 59U with a BNC connector). The 1500ES accepts
SMPTE 259M 270 Mbps SDV signals (see Figure 2-7),
thus suitable for SDI, SDTI or DVB-ASI signal. Use the
following steps for connecting video:

SDV/ATSC Video Connection
1. Connect the user’s serial digital video source to the
BNC connector on the 1500E TX unit.
2. Connect the digital video output BNC connector on the
1500E RX unit to the user’s video receiver. You are
now ready to transmit and receive video signals.
