2.1
Overview
This chapter describes how to build Kernel and a root file system with Wind River PNE3.0 SP 2
for PrAMC-7211 using the Workbench 3.0.
2.2
Prerequisites
Wind River PNE3.0 (Service Pack 2 (PNE3.0.2)) toolchain and Wind River Workbench 3.0 must
be installed on your local Linux RedHat (V4 +) PC. Contact your local vendor for PNE 3.0
toolchain and Workbench software. You should have the prior knowledge of installing the
Wind River PNE.
Untar the file PrAMC721x-WR-3.0-BBS-RM01-1.0.2.tar.bz2 (for example, you can
untar the file in /home/wind).
Under
directory, bsp.tar.bz2 is present, which contains the custom layer and templates.
Untar bsp.tar.bz2, for example, you can untar the file in /home/wind/ with read and
write permissions. This directory is used to pick layers. After untarring this file, you should have
the structure as follows:
cache.

should be used after completion of Wind River build process.
2.3
Procedure
Log in as a non-root user. Make sure that /etc/sudoers file has the following line appended
in User Privilege Section, otherwise Workbench will not work properly.
