Power Connections
A 5 pin, 5.08mm power terminal block should be used to connect the power cable to
the unit.

Grounding Connections
The ESUL8 has a grounding screw located on the top panel of the switch (see Figure 2.2)
this is used for chassis grounding. One end of the chassis grounding cable should be
connected to the grounding screw and the other end of the cable needs to be earthed.
The cross section area of the chassis grounding cable should be more than 2.5mm
2
, the
grounding resistance needs to be <5Ω.
The grounding found on the 5 pin, 5.08mm power terminal block is the surge grounding
connection. The surge grounding and the chassis grounding need to be connected as
shown below for the surge protection circuit to operate.
