Compix System Troubleshooting
The System Does Not Turn On:
1. Make sure the Compix system is plugged straight in to the
wall outlet for testing purposes or verify the outlet is working
properly.
2. Check to see if the power cable is plugged into the Compix
system securely.
3. The switch on the power supply must be flipped to “-”, not “o”.
4. When turning on the system, check whether or not the fan on
the power supply is running. Does the power supply turn on?
Yes: Is the motherboard beeping?
No: Make sure the power switch in the front of the system is
held down for two seconds before releasing.
Yes: Turn off the Compix system and remove the
cover. Removing the cover will not void the warranty.
Remove and reinstall the RAM. Restart the system.
Windows Periodically Freezes, Error Checking:
1. Click on the Microsoft [Start] button on the lower left of the
toolbar and go to [All Programs] > [Accessories] > [Command
Prompt].
2. Once inside the Command Prompt, type in “sfc /scannow”.
3. Microsoft will run a Scan Disk, checking for any errors within.
Once the scan is complete, the following message will appear.
