wired in series with the mains hence, allowing the circuit to be completed when the level is
exceeded. The ten threshold steps are equally spaced across the useable range of the CEL-206 by
means of the scale amplifiers and this ensures that the top threshold always coincides with the
trip level in the CEL-206. It is also possible to select a single lamp to be illuminated at
each step to give the effect of a single point moving up and down with the noise level or
alternatively a bar type arrangement where all the lamps below the current level are
illuminated.
2 Installation
2.1 Schedule of Parts
The unit is provided with the following items and on receipt should be checked against this
schedule:

This unit may be used to control existing lamps or for convenience, the CEL-211 lighting column
may be specified. This comprises ten coloured lamps in a wall mounting fitment that is suitable
for direct connection to the CEL-208.

2.2 Connections and Operation
The unit should be mounted on the wall adjacent to the CEL-206 by means of the two fixing holes
provided. Interconnection between the CEL-206 and the CEL-208 should be made by means of the
CEL-3541 cable provided. This connects between the accessory socket on the-right hand side of
the CEL-206 and the DIN connector in the top of the CEL-208. When used in conjunction with a
CEL-209 the connection sequence must be CEL-206 to CEL-209 to CEL-208.
