ESPRI 3P
™
Backcountry Gear for Three
Despite its ethereal weight, the Espri 3P™ tent gives up nothing in terms
of interior volume, sturdiness, features, top shelf fabrics, and hardware.
The mesh inner tent is perfect for stargazing, and thanks to innovative
hardware, the fly can be attached in seconds when unexpected weather
rolls in. The Espri 3P™ utilizes our modular vestibule system so you can
choose between the included Ultralight Fly Door and Standard Vestibule,
or the optional Trekking Pole Vestibule depending on your desired balance
of weight and space. Includes GREEN™ anodized DAC Featherlite® NSL poles,
Ultralight Fly Door, Standard Vestibule, Gear Loft, stuff sack, stakes, and
repair kit. Optional Footprint, Pawprint™, Gear Caddy, and Trekking Pole
Vestibule are available.
1. Pre-bent Pole Configuration: A maximum
volume to weight ratio was achieved using strategic
controlled bends in the aluminum poles. Utilizing
bends in just the right places, this pole set creates
about one and a half times the volume of standard
unbent pole sets of similar weight. Pre-bends are a
very good way to increase your living space without
increasing your burden on the trail.
2. Jake’s Feet: The corner anchor system from DAC
makes tent setup faster and easier. The main poles
attach to the anchors by ball and socket. When the
fly is attached, the Jake’s Feet act as cantilevers
to pull the corners of the inner tent closer to the
ground. The Jake’s Feet also allow you to set up
your fly and poles without the inner tent to create
a convenient tarp/shade shelter.
3. Superior Hardware: Several innovative pieces
of hardware are used to increase the ease of setup
and strength of Espri 3P™. The Swivel Hub locks the
poles together at the top and Intersection Hubs fix
the front brow pole to the main pole. Jake’s Feet
and acetyl Ballcaps lock the poles to the corners of
the tent. Sliding pole clips make the rest of the tent
setup a snap
