4.1. THE TIMERS
The event timers are a kind of alarm clock. An event
timer reminds you when a timed program or recording
starts. You can set the next timers:
■
DVR timer, to automatically record a program onto
the hard disk.
■
VCR timer, to automatically switch over to the
timed program before it really starts. This allows
you to record a program on a video tape (video
recorder);
■
Reserved timer, to automatically switch over to the
timed program before it really starts or when the
receiver is in standby, to switch on the receiver.
If a timer is set on a program that is shown in the EPG,
the relevant data is already shown in the timer. You
can change the settings as follows:
■
Date, to set the start date for the timer;
■
Start time, to set the start time in hours/minutes;
■
Stop time, to set stop time in hours/minutes;
■
Period, to set the timer once or repeat for every
occurrence;
■
Favorite list, to select a list where to save the
recording (none saves into the all files list).
■
Parental lock, to lock or hide the recording
automatically.
■
Status, to set (active) or delete (inactive) the timer.
■
Store settings, to program the timer.
Timers are shown in the EPG window as clocks.
In the List-Timers page, it is possible to get a list of the
timers that are set. In this page you also can change or
delete a set timer.
You can view an overview of all the timers that are set
if you select the timers list.
