3.2 Installing the System Controller
The PXIS-2690P comes with a system controller slot that supports
a PXI or cPCI-based system controller. We recommend the follow-
ing system controllers for use with PXIS-2690P:
X PXI-3800
X PXI-3800/CM13
X PXI-3800/PM18
X PXI-3800/PM18+
To install the system controller:
1. Make sure that the CPU, memory module(s), and stor-
age device(s) are properly installed on the system con-
troller module.
2. Locate the system controller slot (Slot 1, widest slot
cover) and controller expansion slot (first slot from the
left).
3. Depending on the system controller’s slot space require-
ment, remove the system controller slot cover (Slot 1),
then the controller expansion slot.
4. Push down (loose) the system controller module’s ejec-
tor/injector handle(s).
