Hints on power settings
The following list will show you which power settings in micro-
wave operation enable you to do what:
Setting 8-9 Maximum power
- to start a cooking sequence,
to bring to the boil, start roast
ing, stewing, etc.
- roasting meat on the browning dish
- heating ready meals
- defrosting and heating deep-frozen ready meals
Setting 6-7
- warming
tender dishes such as: mushrooms, cheese, snails,
mussels, beaten eggs, kidney beans, butter, baby-food in
glass jars, chocolate for coating cakes
- cooking fish.
Setting 3-5
- simmering
soups, stews, casseroles, noodles (after bringing
to the boil on Setting 9)
Setting 2

defrosting
meat, fish, fruit, bread, and cakes

soaking
rice and making milk puddings (after bringing to the
boil on Setting 9)
Setting 1

warming
cold dishes and drinks, softening butter

dishes with a high fat content, sausage, and
