INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE
This unit is shipped WiTHOUT GAS­
OLINE or OIL. After assembly, see
separate engine manual for prop­
er fuel and engine oil recommenda­
tions.

A (2) Curved Head Carriage Bolts
B (2) Hand Knobs
0 (2) Hairpin Cotters
D (2) Lock Washers V a " I.D.
E (2) Hex Nuts V4-28 Thread
1. Remove lawn mower and loose parts from car­
ton. Make certain all parts and literature have
been removed from the carton before the car­
ton is discarded.
NOTE
Reference to right or left hand side
of the mower is observed from the
operating position.
2. Fasten lower handle in position over weld
pins in handle mount brackets on deck.
Secure with hairpin cotters (C) in inner hole on
— weld pin. See figure 2.
NOTE
There are two (2) holes in the handle
mount brackets. Place the hairpin
cotter in the inner hole for opera­
tion. Outer hole is for storage.
NOTE
It may be necessary to spread the
ends of the lower handle to obtain
a tight fit against the handle mount
brackets.
3. There are two height positions for the handle.
Place upper handle in position over lower han­
dle, selecting hole for either high or low posi­
tion. Refer to figure 7.
Secure upper handle with two curved carriage
bolts (A) and hand knobs (B) as shown in
—figure 3. The knobs may be assembled either
to the inside or the outside of the handle.
