7. Place the bag over the chute deflector. Pull on the
drawstring and lock. See figure 6.
OPERATION
BEFORE STARTING ENGINE
1. Fill fuel tank with fresh regular gasoline. Du Not
mix oil with gasoline.
2. Fill crankcase with oil. Refer to separate e igine
manual packed with your shredder.
TO START ENGINE
Tecumseh Engine
1. Place control lever (on engine) in "RUN" posi
tion. See figure 7.
2. For cold engine start, move carburetor ccntrol
to "CHOKE" position. See figure 7.
NOTE
A warm engine may not require choking.

Pull rewind starter using a quick, full arm stroke.
Keep a firm grip on the handle. Return rope
slowly.
4. After engine starts, move choke lever on carbure
tor gradually to "OFF" position.
Briggs and Stratton Engine

Place control lever (on engine) in "CHOKE"
position. See figure 7A.
NOTE
A warm engine may not require chok
ing. Simply place control lever in
"RUN" Position.
