2. Fold hem back apinst the right side of
the garment with top edge of hem extend­
ing about 4 mm (1/6 inches) to right
side of garment fold. (Fig. 2)

3. Place the garment under the foot so that
double-folded edge runs along the hem
guide and lower the foot
Sew slowly for better control, making
sure the narrow zigzag stitches will fall
on the hem edge and wide zigzag stitches
will just catch one thread of folded edge
