JUMPER SETTINGS
To gain access to the jumpers, remove the plug-in connectors and the four
screws from the cover. The cover snaps into the box and will need to be
levered up using a blade between the cover and the box. The leftmost set
of jumpers has three pins. Place the jumper across the middle and left pin
for 12 Volt operation. Place the jumper across the middle and right pin for
24 Volt operation. If this jumper is not installed, the charger defaults to 12
Volt operation. The right set of jumpers is only used during calibration by
skilled personnel. Miscalibration will cause the charger to malfuction.
FEATURES

Operating Temperature -40 to 60º C
Maximum Input Voltage 40V
Pluggable Connectors 12 AWG Max Wire Size
• 10 Amp Capacity - The charger can facilitate a total of 10 amps to
charge the battery and power load.
• Temperature Compensation - The charger has an internal
temperature sensor and varies charging voltages accordingly.
• 3 Stage Operation - The charger uses a 3 stage system to optimize
lead acid battery charging. (see back page for typical charging pattern)
• Low Voltage Disconnect - Optionally, you may connect the battery’s
load (up to 10 amps) to the charger. If the voltage drops to 1.95V per
cell, the load will be disconnected from the battery after approximately
one minute. The LVALERT signal (open drain) may be used to shut
down equipment correctly during the one minute. The load is
reconnected when the battery is charged to approximately 2.25V /
cell, or when the recessed reset button is pushed.
NOTE:
A power source other than solar may be used if it does not ex-
ceed the input current and voltage limits.
This charger controller can be recalibrated using the calibration set of
jumpers.
Calibration Procedure
1. Connect a 15.00 V reference to both plus (+) Battery and plus (+)
Solar inputs
2. Remove voltage selection jumper
3. Place jumper on calibration pins
4. Wait for the charge light to turn from Amber to Green
5. Remove jumper from calibration pins and put it back on the selected
voltage pins
6. Press recessed reset button
