Message Waiting Light and Messaging
If your telephone is designated as a central message desk by the system or has
message wait originate ability, you can turn on the message waiting light of any
other telephone in the system.
· To turn on the message waiting light at an idle telephone,
1. PRESS MESSAGE. (PRESS
INTERCOM AND DIAL

models 8112N, 8112S and 8124S).
2. DIAL extension number of station to be alerted. The message
waiting light of called station will flash.
· To turn off the message waiting light at a busy or idle
station,
1. PRESS MESSAGE. (PRESS
INTERCOM AND DIAL

2. DIAL extension number of station that was alerted. The message
waiting light of called station will turn off.
· To turn off the message waiting light during
message-delivering conversation,
1. PRESS
INTERCOM.
· To receive a message at an alert
1. OBSERVE flashing message waiting light.
2. PRESS MESSAGE. (PRESS
INTERCOM AND HOLD for models
8112N, 8112S and 8124S). Connection to the station that left
message is automatic.
