CASSETTE
RECORDING
• Press EJECT ■ to open the cassette holder.
• Insert the cassette (fig. 6).
For recording you must use a NORMAL cassette
(ferric oxide, lEC type I) on which the tabs (fig. 7) are
not broken out.
At the very beginning of the tape, no recording will
take place during the first 7 seconds when the
transparent leader tape passes the recorder heads.
•
When monitoring during recording, adjust the
sound with the controls VOLUME ©, GRAPHIC
EQUALIZER © and DBS bass button ®. These
controls do not affect the recording.
Mono recording from the MICROPHONE ®
• Set ON/OFF MODE selector © to
TAPE.
• Set VOLUME control © to zero. (Dunng micrc
phone recordings, monitoring is not possible.)
• Now start recording by pressing RECORD •; i
doing so. PLAY ► is automatically pressed too.
• For brief interruptions, press PAUSE II. To resta
recording, press this button once more.
• To stop recording, press STOP ■. The set is the
switched off.
PLAYBACK
Recordfng from the CD-player
• Set ON/OFF MODE selector © to
CD
(Compact
Disc).
• Start recording by pressing RECORD •; in doing
so, PLAY ► is pressed too.
It's not necessary to start the CD-player separately:
if you press RECORD •, the CD-player starts
automatically (Synchro-Start):
- if the CD-player is in position STOP, recording will
start from the beginning of the disc (or from the
beginning of the stored selection);
- if the CD-player is in position PAUSE, recording will
start from this very position;
-
in position INTROSCAN the CD-player will first
return to the beginning of that track and then
recording will start.
• For brief interruptions, press PAUSE II. To restart
recording, press this button once more.
• To stop recording, press STOP ■.
•
To switch off the set, place ON/OFF MODE
selector © to
TAPE - POWER OFF.
• Set ON/OFF MODE selector © to
TAPE.
• Press EJECT ■ and Insert a recorded cassett
(fig. 6).
• Press PLAY ► and playback wll start.
• Adjust the sound with the controls VOLUME (T
GRAPHIC EQUAUZER © and DBB bass button g
• To stop playback, press STOP ■. The set is the
switched off.
COMPACT CASSETTES
For
recording,
use only NORMAL cassettes (fern
oxide, lEC type I).
For
playback,
any cassette type can be inserted.

other rights of third parties are not infringed.
Recordfng from the radfo
• Set ON/OFF MODE selector © to
RADIO.
• In case of FM radio recordings, set BAND selector
© to the desired position (FM MONO or FM
STEREO).
• Now start recording by pressing RECORD •; in
doing so. PLAY ► is automatically pressed too.
• For brief interruptions, press PAUSE II. To restart
recording, press this button once more.
• To stop recording, press STOP ■.

To switch off the set, place ON/OFF MODE
selector © to
TAPE - POWER OFF.

Press fast forward wind F.FWD ►► or REWIND

button. To stop fast winding, press STOP button ■
SAFEGUARDING AGAINST ERASURE
Keep the cassette side to be safeguarded in front c
you (fig. 7) and break out the left tab Now, recordini
on this side is no longer possible.
You can render this safeguard ineffective by coverint
the aperture with a piece of adhesive tape.
