To reduce the risk of death or injury by electric

1. Always unplug appliance immediately after
using.
2. Do not use while bathing or in the shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it can

4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or
other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it
immediately. Do not reach into the water.

to a Conair service center for examination
and repair.

Do not pull, twist, or wrap line cord around
dryer, even during storage.
6. Never block the air openings of the appliance
or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or
couch, where the air openings may be blocked.
Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and the
like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any
opening or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used or
where oxygen is being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to operate
dryer.
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use.
Allow them to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface while
it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair out
of it. Keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. Do not use with voltage converter.
For a dual voltage hair dryer:
16. Be sure dual voltage selector is in correct
voltage position before operating. Before plug-
ging in, read the information about dual voltage
contained in this instruction section of this
manual.
17. This appliance was set at the factory
to operate at 125 volts. Refer to Additional
Information section of this manual for conver-
sion to 250 volts operation.

OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only.
Standard Dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this
plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way.
If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
IMPORTANT
1875 WATT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of any 1875 watt dryer on the same circuit
or fuse with other electrical products or appli-
ances may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker or blow
a 15 amp fuse.
NEVER replace the fuse with one rated
higher than the capacity of the circuit. Doing
so could result in an electrical fire.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVERY TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water. To make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, perform the following test. The pur-
pose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug (see appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be
an audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. To reset ALCI with a reset button, units should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center.
5. It is important that if immersion occurs, this
unit be brought to a service center. Do not try
to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational. Should the
appliance go off and the reset button pop up
during use, this could indicate a malfunction in
the unit. Remove plug from outlet and allow the
appliance to cool. Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should function normally. If not,
return to a Conair service center for examination
and repair.
SUPER STYLING GUIDE
Your best looks begin with a good haircut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.
BRUSH/COMB ATTACHMENT STYLING BASICS
& INSTRUCTIONS
Shampoo and condition hair with products of
your choice. Gently towel dry hair to remove
excess moisture. Part hair into sections. Follow
the instructions to achieve your desired style.
Note: to prevent overdrying, reduce setting to
LOW when hair is almost dry.
FOR STRAIGHTENING OR RELAXING
Select the brush attachment and set dryer on
HIGH speed. Hold dryer securely in one hand
and use brush to firmly grasp a section of hair
at roots. Roll hair around brush with one turn
of your wrist, then pull downward. Continue
process until hair is dry. Repeat the above with
each hair section.
DUAL ROW STRAIGHTENING COMB
Attach to dryer and select high speed. Slowly
drag attachment down hair strand to smooth
away frizz and straighten hair. The slower you
pass dryer through strand, the straighter the
result.
FOR EXTRA VOLUME AND DETANGLING
Select the detangling comb attachment and set
dryer on LOW speed. Hold dryer securely in one
hand and use a natural combing action to fluff
hair, beginning at the roots. Move from section
to section until hair is dry.
Styler Dryer is perfect for shorter hair styles
on men and women.
FOR CREATING FULLNESS
Select the brush attachment and set dryer on
HIGH speed. Starting at the nape of the neck,
first lift hair up and away from the scalp with
the brush, then rotate the brush downward to
the ends. Move from section to section until hair
is dry.

Secador de doble voltaje:

SECADOR DE 1875 VATIOS
El usar este apara to en el mismo circuito o con
el mismo fusible que otros apara tos o elec-
trodomésticos podría activar el interruptor de
circuito de 15 amp. o quemar un fusible de 15
amp.
NUNCA reemplace el fusible por uno de
mayor capacidad que la del circuito, ya que
podría causar un incendio eléctrico.
PRUEBE EL COR TACIRCUITO DE SEGURID AD
ANTES DE CAD A USO
Este apara to está dotado de un cortacircuito
de seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance Leakage
Circuit Interrupter), que apa ga el secador inme -
diatamente si éste cae al agua. Ha ga la prueba
siguiente para asegurarse que el sistema de
detección de agua funcione correctamente:
1. Enchufe el apara to y apriete el botón de
prueba (véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El apara to dejará de funcionar , se oirá un clic
y el botón de reajuste saltará.
3. P ara reajustarlo, desconecte el apara to,
apriete el botón de reajuste y vuelva a conectar
el apara to.
4. Si el cortacircuito de seguridad no fun -
ciona correctamente, regrese el aparato a un
centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el apara to cae al agua, es muy importante
que lo mande a un centro de ser vicio autor -
izado. No intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de
cada uso para asegurarse que esté operativo.

CóMO ALISAR Y ELIMINAR EL FRIZZ
Instale el peine alaciador de Tourmaline
Ceramic™ y escoja el ajuste de temperatura
alto HIGH. Mueva el peine lentamente desde las
raíces hasta la punta para alisar el pelo y elimi -
nar los pelos sueltos.
CóMO AGREGAR VOLUMEN
Instale el peine desenredador y escoja el ajuste
de tempera tura bajo LOW. Coja el secador
firmemente en una mano y agarre una sección
de cabello al nivel de las raíces con el peine.
Estire el pelo hacia arriba mientras lo peina
para agregar volumen. Repita con cada sección,
hasta que el cabello esté completamente seco.
El secador de alaciados también es ideal para
dar más cuerpo al pelo corto: Instale el cepillo
y escoja el ajuste de tempera tura alto HIGH.
Empezando en la nuca, estire el cabello hacia
arriba, fuera del cuero cabelludo, luego voltee
el cepillo y bájelo hasta las puntas. Repita con
cada sección, hasta que el cabello esté comple-
tamente seco.
