– Any hair dryer is elec-
trically live even when the switch is off:
To reduce the risk of death or injur y by
electric shock:
1. Always “unplug it” immediately after using.
2. Do not use while bathing or in a shower.
3. Do not place or store appliance where it
can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.
4. Do not place in, or drop into, water or
other liquid.
5. If an appliance falls into water, “unplug it”
immediately. Do not reach into the water.
WARNING
– To reduce the risk of

1. This appliance should never be left un-
attended when plugged in.
2. This appliance should not be used by, on,
or near children or individuals with certain
disabilities.
3. Use this appliance only for its intended
use as described in this manual. Do not
use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
4. Never operate this appliance if it has a
damaged cord or plug, if it is not working
properly, if it has been dropped, damaged,
or dropped into water. Return the appliance
to a Conair service center for examination
and repair.
5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
Do not pull, twist, or wrap line cord around
dryer , even during storage.
6. Never block the air openings of the
appliance or place it on a soft surface, such
as a bed or couch, where the air openings
may be blocked. Keep the air openings free
of lint, hair, and the like.
7. Never use while sleeping.
8. Never drop or insert any object into any
opening or hose.
9. Do not use outdoors or operate where
aerosol (spray) products are being used
or where oxygen is being administered.
10. Do not use an extension cord to
operate dryer .
11. Do not direct hot air toward eyes or other
heat-sensitive areas.
12. Attachments may be hot during use.
Allow them to cool before handling.
13. Do not place appliance on any surface
while it is operating.
14. While using the appliance, keep your hair
out of it. Keep your hair away from the air inlets.
15. Do not use with voltage converter.
For a dual voltage hair dryer:
16. Be sure dual voltage selector is in correct
voltage position before operating. Before
plugging in, read the information about dual
voltage contained in this instruction section
of this manual.
17. This appliance was set at the factory to
operate at 125 volts. Refer to Additional
Information section of this manual for con-
version to 250 volts operation.

IMPORTANT
1875 WA TT OPERATING GUIDE
Use of any 1875 watt dryer on the same
circuit or fuse with other electrical products or
appliances may trip a 15 amp circuit breaker
or blow a 15 amp fuse.
NEVER replace the fuse with one rated higher
than the capacity of the circuit. Doing so could
result in an electrical fire.
OPERATING
INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is intended for household use
only. Use on Alternating Current (60 hertz) only .
Standard Dryers are designed to operate at 110
to 125 volts A.C.
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade
is wider than the other). As a safety feature,
this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one
way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat
this safety feature.
CHECK ALCI SAFETY FEATURE EVER Y TIME
YOU USE APPLIANCE.
This appliance is equipped with an Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter (ALCI), a safety
feature that renders it inoperable under some
abnormal conditions, such as immersion in
water.T o make sure the ALCI is functioning
properly, per form the following test. The pur-
pose of this test is to allow you to make sure
the water sensing system (ALCI) is working.
1. Plug in the appliance and press test button
on plug (See appropriate diagram below).
2. The appliance will stop working. There will be
an audible click and reset button will pop out.
3. T o reset ALCI with a reset button, units should
be unplugged. Then push reset button in, and
reinsert plug into outlet.
4. If ALCI is not functioning properly, return
appliance to nearest service center .
5. It is important that if immersion occurs,
this unit be brought to a service center . Do
not try to reset.
6. Be sure to repeat test every time you use the
unit to confirm ALCI is operational.
Should the appliance go off and the reset
button pop up during use, this could indicate
a malfunction in the unit. Remove plug from
outlet and allow the appliance to cool.
Reinsert plug into outlet.
The appliance should function normally. If not,
return to a Conair service center for examination
and repair .

Your best looks begin with a good hair cut that’s
well maintained. Always treat hair right with
superior quality shampoos, conditioners, and
finishing products.

towel blot hair to remove excess moisture. Part
hair into sections. Follow the instructions to
achieve your desired style. Note: to prevent
overdrying, reduce setting to LOW when hair is
almost dry.
FOR STRAIGHTENING OR RELAXING
Select the brush attachment and set dryer on
HIGH speed. Hold dryer securely in one hand
and use brush to firmly grasp a section of hair
at roots. Roll hair around brush with one turn
of your wrist, then pull downward. Continue
process until hair is dry. Repeat the above with
each hair section.
FOR EXTRAVOLUME
Select the comb attachment and set dryer on
HIGH speed. Hold dryer securely in one hand
and use a natural combing action to fluff hair,
beginning at the roots. Move from section to
section until hair is dry.

FOR CREATING FULLNESS
Select the brush attachment and set dryer on
HIGH speed. Starting at the nape of the neck,
first lift hair up and away from the scalp with
the brush, then rotate the brush downward to
the ends. Move from section to section until
hair is dry.

GUÍA DE OPERACIÓN PARA EL
SECADOR DE 1875 VATIOS
Usar este aparato en el mismo circuito o en el
mismo fusible con otros aparatos o elec-
trodomésticos puede activar el interruptor de
circuito de 15 amp. o quemar un fusible de
15 amp.
NUNCA reemplace el fusible por uno de mayor
capacidad que la del circuito, ya que pudiera
producir un incendio eléctrico.
INSTRUCCIONES
DE USO
Este aparato fue diseñado para uso domésti-
co. Úselo solamente con Corriente Alterna (60
hertzios). Los secadores estándares están
diseñados para funcionar con Corriente
Alterna de 110 a 125 voltios.
Este aparato tiene un enchufe polarizado (un
polo es más ancho que otro). Como medida de
seguridad, se podrá enchufar de una sola man-
era en la toma de corriente polarizada. Si no
entra por completo, inviértelo. Si aún no entra
completamente, llame a un electricista califica-
do. No intente vencer esta función de seguridad.
PRUEBE EL CORTACIRCUITO DE SEGURIDAD
ANTES DE CADA USO.
Este aparato está dotado de un cortacircuito
de seguridad llamado ALCI (Appliance
Leakage Circuit Interrupter), el cual apaga el
secador en caso de que ocurran situaciones
anormales, por ejemplo si el aparato caiga al
agua. Haga la prueba siguiente para asegu-
rarse que el sistema de detección de agua
funcione correctamente.
1. Enchufe el aparato y apriete el botón de
prueba (véase el gráfico más abajo).
2. El aparato dejará de funcionar, se oirá un clic
y el botón de reajuste saltará.
3. Para reajustar el enchufe, asegúrese que el
aparato esté desenchufado, luego apriete el
botón de reajuste y vuelva a enchufar el aparato
4. Si el cortacircuito de seguridad no esté
funcionando correctamente, lleve su aparato
a un centro de servicio autorizado.
5. Si el aparato caiga al agua, es muy impor-
tante que lo lleve a un centro de servicio. No
intente reajustarlo.
6. Pruebe el cortacircuito de seguridad antes de
cada uso para asegurarse que esté operativo.
Si el secador se apagara y el enchufe saltara
durante el uso, esto podría indicar un mal fun-
cionamiento. En tal caso, desenchufe el aparato
y déjelo enfriar, luego vuelva a enchufarlo. El
aparato debería funcionar normalmente.
En el caso contrario, llévelo a un centro de ser-
vicio autorizado para que lo revisen y lo reparen.
GUÍA PARA UN SÚPER MODELADO
La mejor apariencia empieza por un recorte de
cabello bien mantenido. Siempre cuide su
cabello con champúes, acondicionadores y
productos de acabado de calidad superior.
FUNDAMENTOS DEL SECADO E INSTRUC-
CIONES DE USO PARA LOS ACCESORIOS
Lave y acondicione su cabello con los pro-
ductos Conair
® o Jheri Redding ® de su elec-
ción. Enjuáguelo bien. Séquelo con una toalla
para eliminar el exceso de agua. Divida el

cabello en secciones. Siga las instrucciones
que se encuentran a continuación para lograr
el estilo deseado. Nota: para evitar que su
cabello se reseque, seleccione el ajuste de
temperatura más bajo (“LOW”) cuando el
cabello esté casi seco.
ALISAR O RELAJAR EL CABELLO
Coloque el cepillo accesorio sobre el secador y
seleccione el ajuste de temperatura mas
caliente (“HIGH”). Mantenga el secador firme-
mente en una mano y agarre una sección de
cabello desde la raíz con el cepillo. Enrolle el
cabello alrededor del cepillo una vez, luego tire
el cepillo hacia abajo. Siga haciendo lo mismo
hasta que el cabello esté seco. Repita con cada
sección de cabello.
CREAR VOLUMEN
Coloque el peine accesorio deseado sobre el
secador y seleccione el ajuste de temperatura
mas caliente (“HIGH”). Mantenga el secador
firmemente en una mano y peine el cabello de
manera natural para darle más volumen,
empezando por las raíces. Repita con cada sec-
ción hasta que el cabello esté seco.
El secador es ideal para el cabello más
corto, para hombres y mujeres…
CREAR CUERPO
Coloque el cepillo accesorio sobre el secador y
seleccione el ajuste de temperatura mas caliente
(“HIGH”). Empezando en la nuca, levante el
cabello hacia arriba con el cepillo, luego gire el
cepillo por abajo hacia las puntas. Repita con
