***WARNING***

“DO IT RIGHT” OR RISK SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY.

FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY

!Notice!

Do not use the C-10 Crack Chaser without a properly sized

vacuum system. It will generate a great deal

of concrete dust.

This dust can be harmful to the operation of the engine

and the operator. The operator should wear a protective

mask and must CHANGE or CLEAN the air filter after

each day of operation.

Failure to perform this operation may cause excessive

engine wear and greatly reduce the expected engine life.

Warranty claims do not cover dust related problems.

Dust supression kits are available.

handle and allow engine to cool at idle for 2 - 3 minutes.

MAINTENANCE

The saw operates in very dusty conditions which require the special peri-

odic maintenance actions noted below. Refer to the engine manufacturers

manual for routine maintenance.

1. Clear the air filter after each day of operation. Remove the foam element

and wash it in kerosene or liquid detergent and hot water, then wrap it in

cloth and squeeze it dry. Blow the dust off of the paper element with low

pressure compressed air to prevent damage but do not wash it. Replace

the elements in the housing.

2. Grease the shaft bearings after each day’s operation with heavy duty ball

bearing grease.

3. Inspect the blade for damage frequently during each day’s cutting. Do

not cut with a damaged blade.

4. Wash the saw thoroughly after each day’s use to remove accumulated

dust. Do not allow the muffler to become clogged, or dirt to accumulate

between the cooling fins and around the throttle linkages.

5. Check the belt tension after the first hour’s operation and daily thereafter.

Adjust the belt tension by loosening the 5/32” Allen head set screw, and

turning the 1/2” belt tension adjusting screw so that the belt deflects no

more than 1/2” under moderate finger pressure. Re-tighten the Allen head

set screw before operation.

6. Change the spark plug after every 100 hours of operation.
