This machine must be used in outside locations only.
The engine exhaust contains Carbon Monoxide,
which is an invisible, odorless gas that can kill. The
engine exhaust also contains chemicals known, in
certain quantities, to cause cancer, birth defects or
other reproductive harm.
Before Starting Gasoline Engine:
• Check the oil in the engine crankcase. Be sure to
maintain the proper level per the engine manufacturer speci-
fi
cations. If the oil is dirty and in need of changing, follow the
engine manufacturer instructions.
• Check the fuel supply. Follow the engine manufacturer instruc-
tions.
Note:
New Trowels from the factory are shipped “dry” (meaning
without oil and fuel). Be sure to fi ll both to the proper level before use. Failure to do so will result in damage to the
equipment.
• Visually check to be sure that the blades are free of obstructions and the area is clear for operation.
• Switch the engine ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
• Switch the E-STOP to the on position.
• While fi rmly holding the trowel handle with one hand, start the trowel following the guidelines in
the Engine Manufacturers Instruction Manual. Do not let go, the clutch is engaged based on engine
speed.
• Position yourself behind the handlebars while maintaining control over the handle the entire time that the engine
is running. Throttle the engine to operating speed. Depress the clutch lever.
• The trowel is equipped with a centrifugal force E-STOP switch as shown below and has to be in the on position
to start the engine. In the picture the switch is in the on (run) position. If the the lever is in the left (off) position the
engine would not start. (Figure 10)
•
To stop, throttle the engine down, use the E-STOP to shut off the engine.
Never let go of the handle while engine is running.

Instruction Manual before operating this
