STEM QUICK-CONNECT GUIDE
STEP 7 - Connecting a DVD/LD Player or Dolby Digital LD Player
Connecting a DVD/CD Player (using its
digital output)
Connect a DVD or CD player with a digital output to
the VIDEO 2 (coaxial) or VIDEO 3 (optical) Dolby
Digital/PCM INPUT according to the diagram on
the right.
Connect its video outputs to the corresponding
video inputs as shown in the diagram in STEP 6 -
Connecting Video Components.
NOTE: If you re using the DVD or CD player’s digi
tal output, it Is not necessary to connect its 2-chan
nel analog outputs.
Connecting a Dolby Digital LD Player
Connect a Dolby Digital LD players AC-3 RF output to
an RF demodulator such as the Kenwood DEM-9991D
(sold separately). Connect the RF demodulators digital
output to the VIDEO 2 Dolby Digital/PCM input accord
ing to the diagram on the right.
Connect the LD player’s video and 2-channel
analog outputs to the corresponding VIDEO 2
inputs as shown in the diagram in STEP 6 -
Connecting Video Components.
NOTE: Do not connect the LD players AC-3 RF
output directly to the receiver.
