All models:
•
Insert the plug.
•
Attach the carriage (7) and “sausage end”
holder (10).
•
Set the desired slicing width (1) (0 to 15 mm).
In the lower adjustment range a very narrow
slicing width can be set (e.g. for salami, ham).
•
If required, insert/pull out serving tray (11).
Switching the appliance ON/OFF
/t\ Risk of injury from the sharp biade
When the appliance has been switched OFF,
the blade continues rotating briefly.
Keep hands clear of the blade.
Warning!
Motor may overheat
After a maximum 10 minutes of continuous
use, switch OFF the appliance and allow
to cool down.
Quick-action operation:
•
First press the safety lock (2) and hold down,
then press the ON button (3a) until the
appliance starts. Release the safety lock (2).
•
To stop the appliance, release the ON
button (3a)
.
Continuous operation:
•
First press the safety lock (2) and hold down,
then press the ON button (3b) until the appli
ance starts running. Release the safety lock
(2) and the ON button (3b).
•
To stop the appliance, press the ON
button (3a) and release.
Only MAS93../95..:
Soft start function
When the appliance is switched on, the blade
starts gently after a slight delay.
Only MAS93../95..:
Setting lower speed
The blade speed can be reduced, e.g. for slicing
cheese. If the appliance was switched off,
the blade will run at maximum speed when
the appliance is next switched on.
•
Press cheese button (4). Lamp in the button
is lit.
•
To switch to the standard speed, press
the cheese button again. Light goes out.
Slicing
•
Gently press the food against the stop plate
and slowly slide against the moving blade.
After using the appliance
•
Set the slicing width to
0
.
•
Slide the carriage towards the blade into
the end position and lock with the slide (8)
(slide on left).
After slicing greasy food (e.g. meat, sausage,
cheese):
•
For reasons of hygiene, the appliance and
especially the blade should be cleaned
immediately; see “Cleaning” chapter.
•
If required, clean the blade cover and blade
scraper; see “Cleaning” chapter.
Cleaning
/f\ Risk of injury from the sharp biade
Before cleaning the appliance, pull out the
mains plug and remove the blade.
Do NOT grip the blade by the cutting surface,
but by the blade attachment.
/t\ Eiectric shock risk
NEVER immerse the appliance in water
or place under running water.
Warning!
Surfaces may be damaged.
Do NOT use abrasive cleaning agents.
The appiiance wiii not run without the biade
cover.
After cleaning the blade, attach the blade
scraper and blade cover.
Cleaning the appliance
•
Wipe the appliance, blade cover, blade and
blade scraper with a damp cloth and dry.
If required, use a little detergent.
•
Blade scraper, “sausage end” holder
(not MAS95..) and serving tray can also
be cleaned in the dishwasher.
Do not wedge them in the dishwasher
as they could warp.
In the case of MAS95.. the blade can be inserted
in the blade holder and loaded in the dishwasher
and washed like a plate.
Removing the blade cover, blade and
“sausage end” holder.
•
Slide back the carriage until the blade
is accessible.

Release the blade cover (press at top right)
and remove.

Rotate the blade on the blade attachment as
far as possible
in
a clockwise direction and
remove.
In the case of MAS95.. the blade can be
removed with the aid of the blade holder.
