Room Air Conditioner Troubleshooting Guide

THE AIR CONDITIONER WILL NOT OPERATE

Filter is dirty.

Open front panel. Remove filter. Rinse or vacuum filler. Replace filter. Close Panel. (Paqe 10)

Front of unit is blocked by furniture, drapes, biinds, etc.

Clear away area in front of unit (Page 2)

Back of unit is blocked by leaves, dirt, branches, etc.

Clear away back of unit. (Rage 2)

Doors, windows, registers, etc. are open:

Close doors, windows, registers, etc. (Paqe 2)

Unit rKentiy turned on.

Allow time to cool a larger room. (Paqe 3)

Temperature sensor is touching the coil.

Open fnjnt panel. Remove filter. Turn end of temperature sensor away (rom coil. Replace filter. Close

Use exhaust vents while ccoking or bathing. Limit use of heat producing appliances during the hottest

THE REMOTE WILL NOT OPERATE AIR CONDITIONER

Check if...

Then ...

Batteries are not installed property.

Verify the plastic shipping strip is removed from the batteries and the batteries are installed properfy.

Red Light does not flash on the remote when the remote buttons are pushed.

Verify the plashc shipping strip is removed from the batteries and the batteries are installed properly.
Install a new set of batteries. (Paqe 5)

The remote is pointed at the unit.
