CARING FOR THE FILTERS
The grease filter should be removed and cleaned often, at least once a month.
NOTE; If your microwave hood combination is installed to recirculate air, purchase a charcoal filter
available from Sears by calling 1-800~4-MY-HOME*'.
The charcoal filter cannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 6 to 12 months.
Grease filter:
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. To remove grease filter, slide each filter to the side.
Pull filter downward and push to the other side.
The filter will drop out.
3. Soak grease filter in hot water and a mild
detergent. Scrub and swish to remove embedded
dirt and grease. Rinse well and shake to dry. Do
not clean filter with ammonia, corrosive cleaning
agents such as lye-based oven cleaners, or place
it in a dishwasher. The filter will turn black or could
be damaged.
4. To replace grease filter, slide filter in the frame slot
on back of the opening. Push filter upward and
push to front side to lock into place.
5. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
Charcoal filter:
1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. Remove the vent grille mounfing screws.
3. Remove Ihe filter by lifting up Ihe front of it and
sliding it straight out.
