BATTERY INSTALIATION
Carefully piy aff the bock cover of the Chime and install 3 V batteries,
(not included) observing battery polarity marked on the chime.
HOUSE COOES:
The push button transmitter and the chime receiver each have a set
of dip switches used to set house codes (see diagram^ Each of these
switches, numbered 1-4, can be set to either the ON or OFF position. In order
for the push buttontransmittertocommunicatewiththe chime receiver,
the house codes must be set exactly the same way.
NOTE: It is not necessary to change the factory settings of the dip switches in
orderforthe ^tem to operate. However, if interference from other wireless
devices occurs, you can change the house code
by moving ary or all of the four dip switches from ON to OFF, or vice
versa, as long as the house codes are set the same way on both
the push button and chime
The door chime receiver is equipped to ring two different wcys: either
an 8- note "Westminster' chime or a 2-note "ding-dong." In single-entry (one
push button) systems, the soundyou choose isa matter of preference In
duafentry (two push button) systems, the different sounds allow you to
determinewhere the visitor ringing the chime is located. The chime unit is for
indoor use only. Do not install push button in wet location.
SEHING THE HOUSE CODE
1. Carefully pry off the back cover of the push button(s).
2. Change the house code by moving any or all of the four dip swtches
from ONtoOFF.orvice versa, as long as the housecodesareset the
same way on both the push button(s) and chime
NOTE: dip switches ore ON when they ore to the top.
CONFIGURING THE PUSH BUnON(S) TO TRIGGER
ONE OFIWO DOOR CHIME SOUNDS:
1. Carefully pry off the back cover of the push buttonis).
2. Locate the two sets of prongs marked"*"and "x,"directly below
the dip switches (see diagram) One of the sets of prongs will be covered
with a jumper. If the jumper
is over the prongs marked the
push button activates the 8-note
“Westminster chime.' Ifthejumper
is over the prongs marked "x," the
push^on activates the 2-note
“ding-dong." To change
which sourid the push
button will activate,
simply pull jumper off one
set
of prongs and push onto
the other.

terminal (see diagram). Before use, carefully
pry off back cover of push button and remove to b.
1. Push buttons are typically mounted at the same
height above the door sill as the door knob or handle
(between 36" and 44" above the sill)
2. Before mounting, be sure you choose a mounting location that is not
farther than 150* feet (open area) from the chime unit locatbn. Place
push button where you would like to mount (Do not mount the push
button on surfaces with metal. This would result in a shielding effect
and reduces the rangeof transmission) andtest operation. If it works,
mount button here. If it does not work, see TROUBLESHOOTING.

3. Use back cover of push button as a template ta mark twa screw holes.
4. Drill two holes in marked locations.
5. Secure back cover with two supplied mounting screws.
6. Press front housing onto back cover.
/.Test Operations, if chime does network see TROUBLESHOOTING.
CHIME OPERATION:
1. Push button switch on back to "IN" to turn on chime sound,
push to “OUT to turn off chime sound.
2. Gently press transmitter button to sound chime
CLOCK OPERATION:
1. Install one "AA“ battery (not included), observing polariiy.
2. Set time by turning knob on back of chime.
3. Clock will continue to operate if chime sound is off.
NOTE: The chime can be powered by A/C-C/C 9 volt 300ma adapter
hot hduded). PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE ANY BAHERIES
FROM THE UNIT WHEN USING THE PLUG ADAPTOR TO POWER UNIT.
TROUBLEHOOTING
Chime doesn't work:
1 Make sure push buttan switch is pushed in.
2. Make sure dip switches on chime and push button
are in the same positions.
3. Verify battery arientation in chime and push button.
4. Try fresh batteries.
5. Make sure chime is not farther than 150* feet away from push button.
Batteries seem OK butstiii no chime:
1. Do not mount push button on metal, near metal studs, ar near
the floor. Mount 1/4“ to 1/2" wood shims to separate button
from metal surface.
2. Tty a new location for the chime.

CONFIGURACIÓN DE LOS CÓDIGOS DE CASA:

CONFIGURACIÓN DEL/LOS PULSADOR/ES PAPA AQIVAR UNO DE DOS SONIDOS DE
CAMPANILIAS DE PUERTA:
1. Levante cuidadosamente la cubierta posterior de|/los pulsador/es.
2. Locolice los dos conjuntos de dientes marcados con **’ y ’x'. directamente debqjo de
los interruptores dip |ver diagrama). Uno de los conjuntos de dientes estará cubierto con

3. Utilíce la cubierta posterior del pulsodor como plantilla para marcar los dos lugores
pora los orificios de los tomillos
4. Proctiquedosorifidosenloslugares marcados.
5. Asegure la cubierta posterior con los dos tomillos de montaje que se inclinen.
6. Presione la carcasa frontal contra la cubierta posterior.
7. Ponga a pruebo la operación. Si las campanillas no funcionan, ver SOLUCIÓN DE
PROBLEMAS.
OPERACIÓN DE US CAMPANILLAS:
1. Oprima el interruptor de la parte superior a la posidón 'IN' (oprimido! para encender
el sonido de las campanillas; oprímalo hacia 'OU? |no oprimidej para apagar el sonido
de las campanillas
2. Presione suavemente el botón del tronsmisor para hacer sonar las campanillas.
OPERACIÓN DEL RELOJ:
1. Instale una botería tipo "AA* (no induidej, teniendo en cuenta la polarídod.
2. Ajuste el tiempo hociendo grar lo perillo en la porte posterior de los campanillos.
3. El reloj seguiré fundonando aun cuando el sonido esté apagado.
NOTA: Los campanillos pueden usarse con un odoptador AC/DC de 9 voltios 300 ma (no
incluidoi. ASEGÚRESE DE RETIRAR lAS BATERÍAS DE U UNIDAD ANTES DE CONECTAR EL
ACAPTADORAUUNIDAD DE ENERGÍA.
SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS
Los campanillas no funcionan:
1. Asegúrese de que el interruptor del pulsador esté en'IN'(oprimido!.
2. Asegúrese deque los interruptores dip de los campaníllosy del pulsador están en los
mismos posiciones.
3. Compruebe la oríentadón de los bátenos en los componillos y en el pulsodor.
4. Pruebe con bateríos nuevos
5. Asegúrese de que las campanillas no están separados más de 150* pies (45,72
metros! del pulsador.
Los baterhs parecen estar bien pero las campanillas todavh no funcionan:
1. No monte el pulsador sobre metal, cerca de tacos metálicos o cerca del piso. Monte
cuñas de madera de H'pulg. a Vi pulg. para separar el botón de la superficie metálica
2. Pruebe las campanillas en otro lugar.
