Alerts you to the possibility of a front-end collision and helps reduce the severity of the
collision if you are unable to avoid it.
Stage 2
Provides further
warning by lightly
retracting the seatbelt
and applying light
brake force. A beep
sounds and “BRAKE”
continues to flash on
the MID.
Stage 1
Senses a quickly
approaching object
and prompts you to
take preventive action
by flashing a “BRAKE”
warning on the MID.
Stage 3
Applies stronger
seatbelt retraction and
brake force to prepare
the driver and front
passenger for impact.

CMBS Off
You hear a beep and the
CMBS indicator turns off.
CMBS OFF
CMBS On
You hear a beep, a message
appears on the MID, and the CMBS
indicator turns on.

Depending on the circumstances, CMBS may not go through all of the alert stages before initiating the last stage.
